Future Unfolding – Procedurally generated world, both beautiful and dangerous

Future Unfolding is a new game by Berlin based game studio Spaces of Play who are behind a number of titles we already mentioned on CAN including the wonderful Spirits. The team is back together working on Future Unfolding, a role playing game that lets you explore a procedurally generated world filled with life, both beautiful and dangerous. Each play-through in the game allows you to experience a new and different layout. You observe and interact with the wildlife to get clues and discover patterns in this mystical place that help you locate hidden secrets and find your way to the goal. It's about being thrown into a world you don't know and slowly begin to understand through exploration.

The game is inspired by designers' (Mattias Ljungström and Marek Plichta) personal experiences as children growing up in Swedish and Polish countryside respectively. As children they explored the surrounding forests that seemed full of mystery and adventure, creating their own worlds through exploration and play.
