Through a researcher’s journey, it explores ethical and sustainable implications of our technological advancements, urging reflection on our relationship with technology and nature in the Anthropocene.

Adnose – Anosmia and (ML) smell prediction

dnose is an interactive sculpture in the shape of a nose created at NYU, Tisch School of the Arts ITP (Interactive Telecommunications Program) which combines image recognition and machine learning using a Raspberry Pi to predict the smell of any object placed underneath it.

Created by Jonas Eltes at FABRICA, “Lost in Computation” is a a multilingual conversation between two Chatbot AIs trained in Swedish and Italian, translated through Google Translate, exploring how the multiple layers of computation in today’s digital landscape distorts our communication.

The Patchlab Digital Art Festival kicks off on October 8th. The jubilee, tenth edition under the title GAME OVER will last three days, and the events will take place in parallel, stationary in Krakow and online.
